Privacy Policy

Overview

Glowbee ("the App", "we", "us") is a mini-game hub app for kids. We built Glowbee to be safe and simple: it does not require an account, does not send us any information about the player, and does not use behavioral advertising. This policy explains what limited data is involved and how it is used.

Information We Collect

We collect nothing. Glowbee has no servers of its own and no sign-up or login. Everything the App remembers stays on the device it was played on.

• Display name and character (on-device only): At first launch the App asks what to call the player and lets them pick a cartoon character. Both are stored only in the App's local database so the hub can say hello by name. They are never transmitted anywhere.
• Game progress and play history (on-device only): Levels unlocked, stars earned, rounds played, time played, badges, and settings are stored in the same local database. This powers the in-app "My Journey" page. It is never uploaded to us and we cannot access it.
• Progress reports: The report the App can generate is built on the device as a PDF from that local data. It is only shared if a parent or teacher chooses to share it using their own device's share options.
• No contact info: We do not ask for emails, phone numbers, photos, location, or any other personal or sensitive information.
• No analytics or tracking SDKs: Glowbee does not include analytics, crash-reporting, or user-tracking libraries.

Advertising

Glowbee shows ads served through Google AdMob. Because Glowbee is a children's app, every ad request is marked as child-directed, which means:

• No personalized or behavioral ad targeting.
• No use of advertising identifiers for profiling.
• Ad content is restricted to General-audience creatives.
• During a game, ads appear only as a small banner below the play area.
• A full-screen ad may appear after a round has finished, when the player taps to continue or exit. Ads never interrupt play mid-round and are never triggered by a timer.

Google may process limited technical data (such as an app-set anonymous identifier) to serve and measure these non-personalized ads, in accordance with Google's Ads policies and the AdMob child-directed treatment settings.

Other Third-Party Services

• Google Play In-App Update — checks whether a newer version of the App is available on the Play Store. Provided by Google Play; it receives no personal information from us.
• Google Play In-App Review — the native "rate this app" prompt, which may appear occasionally after a level is completed. Ratings are handled entirely by Google Play.
• Game artwork and sounds — downloaded once from our content host (Cloudflare R2) and then cached on the device so the games work offline. Like any file download, the request includes the device's IP address, which Cloudflare processes to deliver the file. No player information is attached to these requests.

Notifications

Glowbee can show optional "come back and play" reminders. These are local notifications scheduled on the device itself — no push service and no messages sent from us. They require the device's notification permission and can be switched off at any time under Settings → Reminders.

Children's Privacy

Glowbee is designed for children and is built in line with the Google Play Families Policy and the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the App does not include social features, external links for children to follow, or the ability to make purchases.

Data Security

Because all gameplay data stays on the device and nothing is collected by us, there is no server-side account data for us to store or secure. The name, character, and all progress can be erased at any time from Settings → Reset All Data, and uninstalling the App removes everything that was stored locally.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
